Painter Mary DeVincentis employs a deeply personal iconography to investigate the dilemmas and mysteries of existence. She recently completed the series Dwellers on the Threshold, paintings which depict the experience of a sudden and pervasive shift in paradigm in both individual and collective life. This body of work was featured in her solo exhibition at David&Schweitzer Contemporary in Brooklyn, New York, April 2018. Her work was also included in the exhibit Sympathetic Magic, curated by Elisa Decker at Westbeth Gallery, in a group exhibit at the Bo Lee Gallery in London, UK. and at Spring Break 2019 with Park Place Gallery. In June 2019, her series Out There was exhibited in the Project Space at M. David and Co. the gallery which represents her work in New York. She is also represented by Gibbons and Nicholas in Dublin, Ireland. DeVincentis earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Maryland Institute College of Art and a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Printmaking from St. Martins College of Art in London, UK.
